Draw by Hand is an offer by succeed Δ, owner Jörg Harm.

2. Short overview

Draw by Hand is a browser-based camera painting app. Hand detection and drawing happen locally in your browser on your device. We do not use advertising or user accounts. For privacy-friendly, cookie-free usage analytics we use the self-hosted tool Matomo.

3. Website access and server log files

The website is hosted with ALL-INKL.COM, Neue Medien Münnich, owner René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. The hosting provider processes technical access data to deliver, secure and operate the website reliably.

When you visit the website, the server may process data such as IP address, date and time, requested file, transferred data volume, referrer URL, browser type, operating system and HTTP status code. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is secure and reliable operation.

According to ALL-INKL.COM privacy information, log files are deleted after seven days at the latest, unless longer storage is required in individual cases, for example in case of attacks or misuse.

4. Camera and hand detection

The app asks your browser for camera access so your hand can control the brush. Camera images are processed locally in the browser. As currently implemented, camera images are not sent to our server, not stored and not used for profiling.

You can deny camera access or revoke it later in your browser settings. Without camera access, the app can only be used in a limited way or in demo/mouse mode. Camera access is based on your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

5. Templates and custom images

You can choose your own image as a tracing template. These files are loaded locally in the browser tab. They are not uploaded, not permanently stored and not included in the export unless you draw over them yourself.

6. Image export

When you export an image, your browser locally creates a PNG file from the canvas and downloads it to your device. The export is not automatically sent to us.

7. Cookies, analytics and local storage

We use the self-hosted open-source tool Matomo for basic usage analytics. Matomo runs on infrastructure of succeed Δ and no analytics data is passed to third parties.

Matomo is configured without cookies (disableCookies) and IP addresses are shortened before storage. We record page views and the events "camera on" and "image download" to understand basic app usage and improve the product. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The app currently stores no other persistent data in local storage, except your opt-out setting for analytics.

8. Local technical files

JavaScript, icons, WebAssembly and hand detection files required by the app are served locally from this web project. The core function does not require third-party CDN requests.

9. Children and families

Draw by Hand may be interesting for children. Children should use the app only together with or with permission from parents or guardians. We do not create user accounts and do not ask for profiles, names, birth dates or contact lists from children.

10. Storage period and rights

Personal data is processed only as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or legal obligations. Under the GDPR you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy if app features, technical processes, services used or legal requirements change.
